Tunisia-based tech startup Beekeeper Tech has announced that it has raised $640,000 in a seed round led by 216 Capital Ventures.

According to the startup, the funding will be used to support the company's plan to create cutting-edge beehive tracking, monitoring, and breeding technology.

Angel investors such as Mr. Ibrahim Al-Rashid and Bridging Angels, Dammam BioTech Valley, Startup Tunisia, TAQADAM, and OQAL Angel Investors Network also contributed grants and mentoring to this funding round.

The most frequent issues beekeepers encounter are weak hives, dying hives, collapsing hives, and apiary theft. Early problem detection will help you save time, give you the chance to come up with workable remedies, and minimise potential losses.

Using accurate beekeeping technology, you can check on the health of your colonies and see how productive your hives are. This will help you run your apiary better.

As a result, you will have the chance to grow your company. You can manage your hives more effectively and assure the quality of your business by keeping an eye on the health and productivity of your hives.

Beekeeper Tech is made up of a group of enthusiastic engineers and beekeepers who are working hard to give the beekeeping community the best precision experience.

With the help of this finance, Beekeeper Tech will expand faster and solidify its position as a leader in the Middle East and North Africa. It will also improve its genetic breeding programme for bees and bring in some top performers to make its team stronger.

The CEO, Khaled Bouchoucha, revealed that it is far more difficult than we had imagined launching a business in the agtech sector to cater to a certain segment of the market using IoT & biotech-based products. Despite some challenging moments, we achieved significant progress.
