Originally a collection of AI models, Gemini has morphed into a vast ecosystem that enhances the digital experiences of billions, while providing developers and businesses with sophisticated APIs and platforms for innovation.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google

"AI represents the most significant opportunity to revolutionize Google Search and all our offerings. We're thrilled about our advancements, such as the Search Generative Experience available in Google Labs, and how AI has become pivotal to our rapidly expanding Cloud and Workspace services, as well as Google One, which is on the verge of reaching 100 million subscribers,"

stated Sundar.

A Leap Forward with Gemini

December marked a pivotal moment for Google's AI journey, introducing the Gemini era and establishing new benchmarks across text, image, audio, and video applications.

Beyond its models, Gemini now underpins a holistic ecosystem that not only powers widely used products but also supports developers and businesses in their creative and innovative endeavors.

The flagship model, Ultra 1.0, surpasses human expertise in massive multitask language understanding (MMLU), covering 57 diverse subjects to assess knowledge and problem-solving skills.

The Introduction of Gemini Advanced

Bard, offering direct access to Google's most advanced models, will now be known simply as Gemini. It's accessible in 40 languages via the web and soon on Android through a new Gemini app and on iOS via the Google app.

  • Workspace: Over a million users are already utilizing "Help me write" and other features through Duet AI, soon to be rebranded as Gemini for Workspace. The Google One AI Premium plan will soon incorporate Gemini into Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet.
  • Google Cloud: Duet AI will transition to Gemini in the coming weeks, enhancing productivity, accelerating development, bolstering cybersecurity, and more for Cloud customers.

Developers play a crucial role in the evolution of technology, and they are key to the success of the Gemini ecosystem.

"Hundreds of thousands of developers and businesses are already leveraging Gemini models. While today's focus is on Gemini Advanced and its enhanced capabilities, we will soon unveil more for developers and Cloud customers.
