The tech talent education platform based in Egypt, Sprints, has successfully raised $3 million in a bridge funding round. This financial injection, spearheaded by Disruptech Ventures and supported by EdVentures, CFYE, and other backers, is set to catalyse Sprints' ambitious expansion into ten additional markets.

Established in 2020 by Ayman Bazaraa and Bassam Sharkawy, Sprints aims to fill the tech talent void in the MEA region by equipping individuals with the necessary skills for the job market, complete with a guaranteed employment program.

Sprints is pioneering the future of education with its AI-driven platform, positioning itself as the first comprehensive solution to the tech talent shortage. It offers tailored learning paths, talent assessments, and a promise of high-paying jobs, distinguishing itself as the first MEA edtech to guarantee employment, allowing its graduates to defer payment until they secure a job over a three-year period.

Since its inception, Sprints has delivered over 2.5 million hours of learning and facilitated employment for its graduates with more than 300 tech companies worldwide.

The company’s ambitious goal is to educate 1 billion learners within a decade by offering cutting-edge, flexible learning experiences. These programs are designed to help organizations build elite tech teams across various disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence, data science, mobile and web development, IoT, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

By pursuing this mission, Sprints aims to address key economic and social challenges while preparing a generation for the digital future.

Yehia Abouelwafa, Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer at DisrupTech Ventures, praised Sprints for creating an integrated tech talent platform that streamlines the processes of talent assessment, hiring, payroll, and upskilling. This platform enables the efficient formation of world-class teams for companies and governments.

“We fully support Sprints' vision and are excited to use our combined 70 years of experience to unlock the potential of regional talent, preparing them for the digital economy,”

he stated.

With an average program rating of 4.8, Sprints has delivered over 52,000 learning experiences and collaborated with governments and key UN organizations in Egypt, KSA, the UAE, the Netherlands, Germany, and the US to launch tech talent development and employment initiatives.

Sprints has gained international acclaim from Africa’s Business Heroes, GSV, and Holon IQ for its contributions.

This strategic funding will enable Sprints to further its impact in the tech talent landscape as it embarks on expanding into ten new markets. This expansion not only aims to close the talent gap within the region but also seeks to establish the MEA as a global talent hub by training over 200,000 learners to meet the demands of the future tech workforce.
