About the job

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the agency. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy. The ideal candidate for this role should have a proven track record of success in business development, preferably in the graphic design or creative services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify partnership opportunities.
  • Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help the agency expand.
  • Maintain existing business.
  • Think critically when planning to assure project success.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the agency's overall goals and objectives.
  • Conducting market research to identify new opportunities, monitor trends, and stay ahead of industry changes.
  • Attending industry events and conferences to network, build relationships, and stay up-to-date on industry trends. This could be done online too.
  • Providing feedback to the agency's leadership team on market trends, client needs, and opportunities for growth.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 - 3 years' prior industry-related business development experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills.
  • Focused and goal-oriented.
  • Strong understanding of the graphic design industry, including current trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software, sales automation tools, and other technology platforms used for business development.

Salary

The payment structure would be on a commission basis. The candidate is entitled to a commission of 20% on the total revenue generated by the agency from the new business they bring, for the graphic design service(s) the business receives. The higher the financial capacity of the business and the value of the service rendered, the higher the commission.
